Talk to me about shin guards

Need advice on what skates and pads to buy? Upgraded your skates/pads/wheels and want to sell the old ones? Want to let the new girls know they can borrow your sweaty old kneepads? This is the place.

Talk to me about shin guards

Post by Claire Force One »

I currently have the yellow G form shin guards and was thinking of getting the same in black.
They do leave gaps towards the side of the ankles of no protection though. Before I spend the money on these (as they are quite expensive) are there any shin pads you really like and I should consider?
Also any I should really avoid?

Ta!

I've tried a few different one, and the only one that really work for me are the hockey shin guards, I have these

they protect most of my leg and stop :ouch: from happening

awesome, a lot cheaper than G form too!
Any idea on sizes? I would normally go for a medium. The size guide is useless as it doesn't include shin pads.
Thanks!
