Rollerderby Museum/archive

Post by Dangerous Danger »

So... an archivist I trained up in Glasgow with is a member of the team putting together a rollerderby collection up at the Women's Library in Glasgow. They're very keen to have LRG represented so I was wondering if anyone had any materal they'd like to donate that I can send/take up for them.

I'll check my drawer and see what I can spare!

I can't wait until we are all old and meet up there like at the end of A League of Their Own.

There'sprograms from almost all the early bouts, I would recomend getting the big ones in there - like Team Canada etc..

There's even posters from early bouts in the legacy box.

This forum is going to be of brilliant archive value eventually... Maybe we could transfer it after 30 years.. do you think they'd have a born digital archive Allison?

In my head this is the final scene of A League of Their Own with a badly made up grandma Geena Davies but with roller derby. Amaze.
