Hi!

Hoping someone can help me... I DESPERATELY want to do Roller Disco for my birthday this year (November), but (sadly) my friends are not as into roller skating as I am, so although they will be up for it, they wont want to travel far.
Therefore I am looking for somewhere that does Roller Disco on Friday nights in north-east London. Anyone know of anywhere?

If not, then I will just have to meet up with roller derby types instead and travel further (by myself if need be!)

Kim

On a related note, does anyone know whether it's okay to skate on the pavements in London?
I've been thinking about skating to/from work in Ealing, but it's too busy to go down the road. I don't know if it's legally alright to go on the pavements and I couldn't find a definitive answer online. Someone told me that it varies by borough. Anyone know if there's a list anywhere?
Any help would be appreciated! :)

I'm not entirely sure about the pavements but on this topic, coming home from training I regularly see a guy wearing inlines and bicycle lights all over his body skating on the main road in new cross as if he's on a bicycle...so if you are feeling particularly brave that's always an option! :)

I think it's fine to skate on pavements, I've been doing it loads and no one's arrested me! Always good to try and find a quiet or a wide-pavement route though.
