I actually jsut had some emails with fast girl regarding the heartless wheels...

Some of the rat city gals are going to try out all narrow heartless except a wider grippy wheel in the front inside spot.

Interesting.

I orderd some Vanish and Chaser heartless wheels. Luce's man is picking them up in the US next week.

But they are MINE....not for trying by everyone unless the league pays me back first.

Still trying to blag some freebies from Quadzilla though.

:bunny: Hi there, how about posting a few links to some great places to buy wheels and heavy duty knee pads, i'm making do with what i have for now but my old knee pads are just inadequate, fortunately i have plenty of under padding.
I'm looking for wheels that offer reasonable grip indoors and manuvability and with the combo suggestions, please could someone post some more suggestions with links to picts. I will hopefully get a chance to chat tonight. Cheers

Help, help, help!!

Just had our first practice - our venue is pretty dusty and slippy (compared with the Romsey's venue, which is all I have to compare with!) and I'm sliding when I push off out of the corners (I'm sure it doesn't help that it's a wooden floor so the grain changes through the corners). Whilst I'm still quite wobbly, this makes me pretty worried that my leg will fall from under me, my body will keep going and I will splat in a massively undignified way (more so than usual...)

So, I was thinking gripper wheels (either all round or just the pushers, I'll try both!) would be the solution. And I like the idea of becoming a real wheel nerd. But I need advice, please!

I've currently got the blue Radar Tuners that came with my skates (which, btw, I found way too grippy in Romsey) - I was thinking it'd be easiest to get another set of Tuners. Which leaves me the choice of Red or Black. If I use the whole set, it won't really matter, but my concern is if I just use them as pushers, how much difference will it make to have say blues with black pushers? Is that too much of a grip difference? Should I just go up to reds?!
