Back to knee pads - does anyone in the Rec League have any TSG Force IIIs I can try? I think us Fresh Meateors will be merging soon..

I do. They're a S/M but are pretty stretched out. What's your actual name? I'll hut you down at practice.

Cool - I think my legs are a lot chunkier than that but it would be great to try them for shape :)

It's Belinda btw, was on Team Pink on Monday.

Your legs probably aren't much different than mine. I got them second hand and have stretched them out. They should give you a decent indication though of whether you like them or not!

I won't be at practice on Saturday but grab me at some point Monday for a try.

Are 'TSG ALL TERRAIN KNEE PADS' any good for roller derby, does anyone know?

not too bad, esp if you get gaskets too, but TSG force 3 is a million miles betterer

They're good starter pads - better than the Triple 8s if you ask me.. I had loads of problems with them slipping down. Now I have TSG IIIs, with gaskets, and they're brilliant. All Terrain should last you a couple of months though.

I have moved to Smith Scabs and they are SOOOOOO much better than my 187s. The foam pad at the front doesn't twist when I land, and they're a lot less bulky. They get my vote!

Which type of Smith Scab pads did you get, Ada? Are they the 'elite' ones? My boy has just promised he will upgrade my knee and elbow pads for Christmas and I must not look a gift horse in the mouth, particularly since they are falling apart :(

P.S. Any particular recommendations from LRG skaters who've been skating for a few years regarding good elbow pads also? Have no idea who to go with..

I very much heart my smiths scabs and gaskets, I think they are elite. They're just the normal ones. I also like my killer 187 elbow pads a lot because they're a lot smaller than my last ones. There are two that look similar and I had to try some on to check my size but they're great.

Do you use medium 187 elbow pads? If so, can I try them on when you're next at practice? Need to work out the size. Will prob get 187s of some sort. They seem reasonably priced.

Yep, grab em off me at the next practice. Before unless you like the idea of pulling my cold sweat over your arms. Yum.

Hello!

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts and/or experience with the 187 gaskets? I haven't really seen them mentioned much & wondered if that was just cuz they are shite...
